Cats with Chronic Diarrhea
Chronic diarrhea can be caused by a variety of factors, including:
- Infections that are resistant
- An inflammatory condition that lasts a long time
- A metabolic or endocrine disorder that is poorly handled
- Congenital illness
- Cancer
Chronic diarrhea is especially dangerous since it can lead to serious complications. Long-term diarrhea that is resistant to therapy is generally complex, requiring numerous therapies to be resolved completely.
If your cat’s diarrhea does not improve within two to three days after starting treatment, you should call your veterinarian to check out any potential complications.
